Here is a FuN ring idea that only took me a few minutes to make.
Here are the supplies I used:
I bought my ring blanks @ Michaels...and I bought the buttons and glue @ Walmart.
First I cut off the bottom of my button with my wire cutters...
Then...sanded the stump down so the middle was flush with the rest of the button...
Then I used E-6000 to glue it on! So FuN and EaSy!!
This project turned out to be a little over $1.00 a ring! WaHoo!! My kind of project!!
Check out these other FuN button ring links that I came across on the web: Here and Here !
So CuTe!!
Wouldn't these make a FuN inexpensive gift for Mothers Day?!!

ReplyDeleteI have actually done this before; but could never find the ring bases. I used elastic band...this is so much cuter!
ReplyDeleteHELP! Where exactly at Michaels did you find your ring blanks? No one there knew what I was talkin about and I want to make some SOOO bad! They are adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Prince Family!
ReplyDeleteThey were on one of the jewelry making isles where you can make your own {vintage looking}necklaces... the package is light purple...and it says it is made by PLAID...and is called Pearls & Pumps. The store in Nampa Idaho had them.
Below is a link to a pic of what the package looks like...but I couldn't find a pic of the ring blanks. Hopefully this helps :)

Wow you are awesome for actually responding back to me. THANK YOU!!! I will go and check out another Michaels tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
yay i found them right where you said.
ReplyDeleteanother thank you to you!! also a quick tip to get the shanks off with out having to sand them after.... take a sharp knife/razor blade & put on the top of the shank. CAREFULLY take a hammer and lightly pound on the knife/razor blade and it will pop right off and be totally smooth.
I just made a couple for my sis for a quick & fun bd gift. Took me seriously less than 3 minutes. SO darling!
um hello $1 per ring that is insane!! I saw some rings that looked like these downtown over the weekend and they were $25 each!! you are amazing
ReplyDeleteThis is a darling idea! I am loving it! My 3 chickadees will love to do this. I can see my birthday present stash building. (heck, who am I kidding-I don't have a stash-I need to get one though-we had 3 birthday parties last week!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
Happy Thursday!!
We made the SAME RINGS!!!! The very day you posted this I had seriously just made those. I think we might share a brain. HA! I could never be so lucky. I did not however make a tutorail, so I am going to link back to yours on my blog. Have a lovely day.

Love it! You inspired me to make my own ring. I added your link to my blog so people could see where I got the idea. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSO cute!
ReplyDeleteHa , I totally made the silver ring, and many others, using buttons from WalMart and Joann's when they have their 50% off buttons sale.

How funny! I JUST used the same process to make rings out of old clip-on costume jewelry. I didn’t notice the strong inhalant aspect of the e6000 glue though. I can’t wait to get my hands on more costume jewelry to make more. ALSO, my dad has a heavy-duty grinder that he inherited from his dad and it makes the sanding part take like 2 seconds literally.
ReplyDeleteI listed them here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/MonocularSpectacular
