It's a GingerSnap Night!

I have been CraZy in the mood to make these lately...so finally my lil' helpers and I did it...and it definitely hit the spot. I am not normally a fan of gingersnaps...but this recipe is AWESOME because they are soooo CHEWY!! 

{and...delicious dipped in MILK!}

Graham Cracker Goody-ness!

Every year my mother-in-law puts together a kit with everything needed to make these FuN graham cracker houses.  She puts graham crackers, candy,candy bars, cookies, powder sugar, 'just whites", cream of tarter, etc...and sends it to us.  I just make the frosting up...then put in baggies with decorative heads...and let the kids go at it!  They have a BLAST making and creating whatever they want.   It is so FuN to watch them!   I have listed the awesome GLUE frosting recipe below!

Frosting for Graham Cracker Houses:

First combine:

2 Tbsp. "Just Whites"

6 Tbsp. warm water

Stir gently for 2 min with wisk...then mix with mixer to soft peak stage

Then add:

3 3/4 C. powdered sugar

1/2 tsp. cream of tarter

And mix for 10 min.

Then {if you don't have cake decorating bag} cut the corner off of a  large Ziploc bag...add cake decorating tips and add frosting. HAVE FUN!

Watermelon Anyone??

Bring on the WaTerMelon season!!

My family LIVES on Watermelon during the summer...sooo... you would think I would have "picking the perfect one" down to a science. Nope...just when I think we've picked a good one...it turns out to have NO flavor...or it is too old. Well...then I came across this post @ The How-To Gal...on "How To Pick The Perfect Watermelon". {Jellybeans} Sign!

Here is just a FuN Easter...Spring-y decoration idea that I made with a scrap 1x10x 2' piece of pine...and a little paint. I made this the same way I made this. SuPer EaSy!!

Then I strung some jellybeans on some clear thread...with a needle. {I punctured the hard shell with my teeth first...then it was easier to push the needle through.} My 7 year old daughter had a blast stringing them on. We also made a bracelet this same way! Sooo FuN!
