DIY fence wood flag!

I am soooo happy to be back! Darn Computers! :) I hope you all had a FaBuLouS 4th of July!! I can't believe it has already come and gone...next thing you know...school will be starting, and snow will be falling. EEEK...ok...I'll stop. :)

Anyways...here is a fun and SUPER EASY flag that I made last year...out of old fence wood. { Sorry this is a little late for the 4th...but ya know...sometimes that's how I roll :) }

The fence wood already had the old chipped white paint on it so all I had to do was dry brush the red and blue...and then just added white paint for the star. Then...I drilled 4 holes in each board...and used wire to hold them together. I used a pencil to twist the ends of the wire to hold the slats in place. Also...I used wire to hang @ the top. Seriously...this project took me 5 min. to make...and cost nothing since I already had everything I needed. If you don't have access to old wood...you can buy 1x6x6 cedar fence slats @ the lumber store and sand them down after you have painted to give it that old worn look! LoVe it!!
